Synchronization

This feature allows you to continue reading on one phone from where you left off on another Android device.

Experimental Feature

This feature is still in the experimental stage. Please make sure you've created a local data Backup before trying this feature to avoid data loss.

What is Synchronization?

Synchronization is used to save your Favorites, Reading History, and Categories to a server (cloud), so you can access them from other devices. On synced devices, your comic collection will be restored in real-time without anything being lost. This feature is perfect if you frequently switch between phones or tablets.

How does it work?

  1. You create and set up an account directly within the yomito app.
  2. Synchronization begins. The data you selected (Favorites/History) will be uploaded and stored securely on our server.
  3. You log in with the same account on another Android phone/tablet.
  4. The uploaded data will automatically appear on your new device.

What data is synced?

  • Favorites (including Categories/Folders)
  • Reading History

How to Enable Synchronization

Go to Settings -> Services, then select Synchronization. Enter the email address and password you want to use to register/log in.

Very Important!

Currently there is NO password recovery / forgot password feature. If you forget your password, you will never be able to log in to your account on another device. Please write it down carefully!

After successfully logging in or registering, you'll return to the Settings menu. Select Synchronization again to configure what data you want to sync (History Only, Favorites Only, or Both).

Can I host my own sync server?

Absolutely! If you know about hosting, you can create your own custom sync server. Check the toto-parsers repository for more technical information.
