General
The most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about yomito.
What is yomito?
yomito is an Android open-source app that lets you read manga, manhwa, and manhua directly from your phone — fast, easy, and ad-free. It is a community-maintained fork of Kotatsu with additional development.
Disclaimer
yomito does NOT store any comic content on our servers. We are not affiliated with and not responsible for comic source websites that are slow, down, missing chapters, or have poor image quality.
Where can I report bugs or request features?
To report app issues, bugs, or request new features, please open an issue on our GitHub via this link.
Is yomito available for iOS (iPhone/iPad)?
NO. There is no iOS version and we have no plans to make one. Porting the app from Android to iOS is extremely difficult because the programming codebases are completely different.
Can I read Light Novels here?
yomito cannot be used to read light novels. This app is specifically designed as an image parser, not a text parser.
Can yomito sync across devices?
Absolutely! The app supports data synchronization across devices. Learn how to set up sync here.
What should I do when switching to a new phone?
Don't panic, your comics are safe! Follow these two steps:
- Create a Backup of all your favorites and history from the old phone, then transfer the
.jsonfile to the new phone. - Restore the backup on the new phone.
Note
More detailed information about Backup and Restore can be found here.
What is the relationship between yomito and Kotatsu?
yomito is a fork of Kotatsu. We maintain our own development focused on local comic sources and additional features, while deeply appreciating and crediting the original Kotatsu developers for the amazing app foundation.
